How We Got Started
Ronna began reviewing kids’ books over three years ago during her time as Associate Editor at L.A. Parent magazine. The more time she spent reading and reviewing, the more she got addicted to children’s literature. “There are just so many great books out there for children, and I’m excited to share the best with my readers,” explains Ronna.
Today Ronna channels her energy into the role of full-time book review blogger, along with some help from Debbie (published children’s book author) and Lindy (children’s book seller at BookStar). Good Reads with Ronna continues to partner with both the www.laparent.com and www.parenthood.com websites. You can also find Ronna reviewing kids’ books monthly for L.A. Parent’s Now Playing Book Nook section.
We’re Here to Help You Choose the Right Book for Your Child
How can a parent or caregiver begin to navigate the sea of children’s books on the market without getting so miserably lost and confused amongst the wave of books hitting the shelves in bookstores, libraries as well as online? Debbie, Lindy and Ronna think they’ve found the answer and will throw you a float. Together we wade through hundreds of books and make it our mission to choose the very best titles available for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, grade schoolers, middle-graders or young adults. We don’t spend time reviewing books that are not worth your while. Instead, we prefer to write about what we like, fiction and nonfiction. Use our site as a resource for finding what we are sure will not only be your kids’ faves, but yours, too! In other words, we choose to review books that appeal to us visually and topically, while conveying a positive and meaningful message to your youngsters.
We Want to Hear From You!
So, as we pull you into the pages of the latest and greatest children’s books, please help us achieve our goal. If we have provided you with honest, impartial opinions about the books we review, then let us know with your comments, because your input is so very important to us!
